Many stories of “peak Bengaluru” moments happening in India’s IT capital can be found all over the internet. The city is also known for its hustle and bustle culture, evident from several photos and videos that have captured people working from all sorts of strange places. Such posts have also sparked debates about work-life balance and long working hours.

Recently, an X user shared a photo of a woman attending a team meeting on her laptop while shopping for shoes. In the image, the woman is seen holding a laptop while looking at slippers and sandals on display in a shoe store.

The viral photo has left the internet divided. While some had fun with it and made jokes, others pointed out the negative impacts of such a culture and called it a “sad state of affairs”.

One user wrote, “It could have been done over the phone – both – dating and buying shoes.”

Another person commented, “This woman is why companies are asking employees to go back to the office and drop WFH policies. The problem is that attending a meeting without being 100% present is as good as not to participate at all..”

A third user said: “These are the kind of people who have made companies cancel Work From Home policies. Such a sad state of affairs. It gives the impression that people in India have no work ethic.”

Before that, an X user shared a photo of a man working on a laptop inside a movie theater. A video of a man attending a Zoom meeting while riding a two-wheeler on a busy road had earlier gone viral, sparking a debate about responsible driving and safe driving habits.
